Corporate History

Since co-founded by Fred Stover and Bill Miller in 2004, OIS has faced many changes. In 2005, co-founder Bill Miller passed away unexpectedly. The loss of Bill Miller proved to be devastating to the OIS family of employees. Fred and Bill had a symbiotic working relationship and the loss had a dramatic impact on the financial stability of the company. Operationally, OIS continued to provide a high level of service but the accounting, administration and financial areas had been under the watchful eye of Bill Miller. After two years of financial and accounting set-backs, Fred Stover sought the assistance of Selected Market Insurance Group, LLC (SMIG). SMIG has provided much needed financial stability and an infusion of sales and marketing expertise. The SMIG team is led by Dan Kuhn and W. Chris Peden, CPA. Dan will serve as the President and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Dan will expand the customer base while increasing the breadth of the services provided to the customers. Chris will serve as Chief Financial Officer and assume control of the finance and accounting areas of the company. Angel Worley, the former President, will now function as the Chief Operating Officer and continue her role supervising the day-to-day operations of OIS. Fred Stover has resigned to follow other interests.

In 2004, OIS purchased the building located at 2001 Wells Road in Orange Park, Florida. This building provides over 5,000 square feet of office space offering plenty of growth opportunities for the future. Along with the growth opportunities associated with the building, OIS has negotiated a lucrative operating agreement with Peak-10, Inc. to provide computer system security and support. This agreement grants OIS with a level of support unmatched in the third party administration industry. OIS is committed to providing tomorrow’s technology today.
